Talk:The Amazing World of Gumball

As if this show wasn't a headache enough, Adventure Time has the same problem. I was wondering if these two shows should be listed in production order instead of air date order? What's worse is that the UK order of Gumball is different to the US, now if the UK order has any importance, then it's because it was UK-produced. Now, if we went in production order, it would also mean that this would probably have to be the case for Adult Swim shows because they're always put on DVD in a different order. That would make the air dates look completely screwy. What got me in a state about this more was numbering the title cards, because they would all be based on the whimsy choices of how Cartoon Network decided to air them.

I think it would be equally less of a headache to just leave it all as it is, and put notes up about the technicalities of it. Because even Samurai Jack with its numbering identified in its own episodes was aired out of all order, and I think all the CN shows suffer from this, so maybe it is just worth leaving alone? I never really thought about the episode air dates of this series until now. I did experience a similar issue with two episodes of Courage where they premiered as sneak previews before their actual air date, but it wasn't frequent in that case, though I presume there were a few that aired back-to-back or because of gap between their production and air dates. Perhaps leave those dates as is for now. -- QuestJ65 (talk) 19:06, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
